Juba, November 7, 2016 (SSNA) — South Sudanese information minister Michael Makuei Lueth has revealed that his government has sent a letter to the United Nations asking for the dismissed Kenyan general to be restored and assume his previous post as chief of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).

Lueth claims that the sacked General shouldn’t be removed because he assumed his post three weeks before the July incident, adding that the UN should annul its decision.

“It is important to note that General Ondieki from the Republic of Kenya took office barely three weeks before the attack at the Presidential palace,” the minister asserted.

“It is on this basis that the Government requests the UN to reconsider its decision, including consulting widely and appropriately with the Government of the Republic of Kenya,” he said.

The bombastic minister also praises Kenyan for its contribution in the peace process and suggests Kenyan troops should not leave South Sudan.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon fired Lt. Gen. Johnson Mogoa Kimani Ondieki, a Kenyan, last Tuesday after UN’s investigative body found that Ondieki failed to perform his leadership duties, adding that his actions resulted in attack on UN personnel and killing of civilians by government soldiers in July.

Same argument as Kenya that the General was just 3 weeks in office when the July incident happened. It shows how callous the two governments have been all along. Uhuru pretended that he was for the good of our country while trying to help the murderer (Kiir) in Juba. I would even say Museveni is better because he hid his color.
