Juba, February 6, 2017 (SSNA) – Sudan’s President, Omar al-Bashir, has accused Egyptian Intelligence of arming and harboring Sudanese rebels and threatened to take Cairo to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) over a border dispute, Al-Arabiya TV network reported.
Khartoum and Cairo have been in a dispute over Halayeb Triangle on the Red Sea coast which Egypt seized in 1990.
“If they [Egyptians] insist there are no negotiations, we will be forced to seek the Security Council track,” Bashir said.
In an interview, the Sudanese leader blasted Iran, asserting that Tehran is trying to “spread Shiite Islam in Sudan.” He also accuses the United States of “handing over” Iraq to Iran by overthrowing Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
Egypt has repeatedly been accused of harboring Sudanese and Ethiopian opposition forces. Cairo, however, denied the allegations.

Mr. President Bashir, How can you accused Egypt government for harbouring the rebels and taking Halayeb triangle on the Red Sea coast. You and your government have been doing such land grabbing such as ABYEI of South Sudan and harboring rebel. I which Egyptian government is doing that four sure.
The citizens of the triangle happy to part of egpt more than to be part the rubbish government in Sudan. Islam is great religion but unfortunately those who are claiming acting Islam in Sudan regime most of them are hypocrite
Most African presidents are war supporters.why rebels of another country. God will punish you during judgment day.
Spot on
Yes that’s true because they get paid for that. Also their former president was the one who splitted Sudan and let our brothers to be strangers. On the other hand Sudan used to help Egypt with everything. All Egyptians know that Sudanese products like meat, the government put tags as Egyptian meat and sell it outside. This information came out from their parliment! Shame!
Brother the problem for the split is dominantly from within the Sudanese government. they deny respect to the basic needs and political equality. the Southerners were highly suffered due t injustices from Khartoum. yet, Egypt may use the opportunity that Khartoum has created. so, you need to criticize the causes of the problem not to contributors.
Really shame on Omar al-Bashir him self, while he him self is unjust to his people and south Sudan, he is accusing of Egypt, USA and Iran. Omar al-Bashi himself is immoral, dictator and a good model of African politics and non-sense leadership style. he is in power for the last 30 years as if Sudan has no capable politicians. for me he don’t have the moral caliber to criticize others. for perpetrating the same injustices .
Sudan 🇸🇩 and Ethiopia 🇪🇹 should fight Egyptian for their barbaric act harassment in the east Africa countries.
Bad
