Juba, August 15, 2018 (SSNA) — South Sudan is the most dangerous place for humanitarian personnel for the third year in a row, a report released on Monday shows.
Humanitarian Outcomes, a UK-based humanitarian consulting firm, released a report placing the war-torn young nation on the top list of more risky nations for humanitarian organizations.
The report says there were 158 violence incidents against 313 humanitarian workers in 22 countries in 2017, 139 aid personnel lost their lives, and that one-third of attacks occurred in the young nation.
South Sudan has in the past been ranked on top by many Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) and human rights groups.
