Nairobi/Juba, May 15, 2016 (SSNA) — A delegation of the newly formed transition government of national unity led by Vice President James Wani Igga on Sunday addressed thousands of South Sudanese at Kenyatta International Convention Center.

The team includes high profile government officials including Minister of mining Taban Deng Gai of the SPLM-IO and other officials.

VP Igga urged people to embrace togetherness and told the gathering that South Sudan needs peace and that his delegation’s main message is all about forgiveness, reconciliation, among others.

The visibly emotional Igga, strike a rather personal message, asking nervous South Sudanese to forgive him if he did anything wrong to anyone.

“If I wronged someone during the crises, I apologize and I asked for forgiveness,” VP Igga said.

The convention went in total silence before the people erupted in applause.

Other members of the delegation also talked at the meeting echoing the same peace message.
