Addis Ababa, May 30, 2018 (SSNA) — In an exclusive interview on Wednesday, a senior Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-In Opposition (SPLM-IO) official has accused South Sudanese President Salva Kiir of waging a campaign of a “deadly charm,” saying Kiir has been using an “evil tactic” to get what he wants.

The accusation comes just hours after Kiir arrived in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa.

The official who demanded his identity be submerged because he was not authorized to speak to the media explained to the South Sudan News Agency (SSNA) that South Sudan’s President relies heavily on deceiving other regional and world leaders by signing questionable deals in a bid to protect himself from South Sudanese rebels.

“We have an unstable man who constantly wages a regional and international campaign of a deadly charm to prolong the conflict. It is an evil tactic. This man killed a lot of people,” the official told the SSNA.

“Look, he signed deals with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and the result is that Ugandan troops fight alongside Kiir’s forces against the armed opposition. He signed deals with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and the outcome is that el-Sisi is supplying Kiir with weapons and ammunition. He donated millions to Kenyan ruling party and the against the result is a secret support given to Kiir by Kenyan leader Kenyatta,” the visibly furious rebel figure explained.

“This is just a small part of Kiir’s deadly charm; there are a lot of them out there, but I don’t want to touch on those,” he cautioned.

South Sudan’s rebels have in the past accused Uganda, Egypt, Kenya, and Morocco of supporting Juba against South Sudanese rebels. The armed opposition persistently claims el-Sisi supplies Kiir with modern weapons and ammunition, in exchange, Juba will support Cairo’s campaign against Ethiopia’s Nile Dam project.

  • No weapons formed against the people of South Sudan shall prevail against them. The Lord Jesus shall fight the battle for them. Salva Kiir and his group of evil deeds has only one option left, surrender unto Jesus and your sins will be forgiven or else you shall face eternal condemnation.
