SPLM/A-IO leadership in USA says the vision of the Kitgwang rebellion is misguided

August 6, 2021 (SSNA) — The leadership of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement/Army-In Opposition (SPLM/A-IO) has shapely criticizes the decision made by its military command to depose the current South Sudan First Vice President and chairman of the SPLM/A-IO Dr. Riek Machar.

In an announcement, the SPLA-IO military led by its Chief of General Staff 1st Lieutenant Simon Gatwech Dual declares that they overthrow Machar and that the South Sudanese government failed to implement the peace.

In a separate move, the US-based SPLM/A-IO leadership led by Dr. Isaac Gang days the Kitgwang declaration is wrong.

“…the declaration did not provide a better of a clear pathway to bring about this change as a separate entity using either of these options,” a press statement released by the SPLM/A-IO office in the United States reads in part.

The Soutj Sudan News Agency (SSNA) has also learned that secret talks between SP/A-IO factions are ongoing in an attempt to avoid all-out ear in the country.
