Washington, DC, April 14, 2013 (SSNA) — Jonglei Peace Initiative – North America (JPINA), in conjunction with its peace partners in the US and Canada, would like to seize this opportunity to cordially invite you to the Jonglei Diaspora Community Peace, Donors & Investors Conference that will take place on Friday to Sunday May 31-June 2, 2013 in Washington, DC at Doubletree Hotel Crystal City (300 Army Navy Drive Arlington, VA 22202). The conference under the theme “Jonglei Community in North America, United for Peaceful, Secure and Prosperous Jonglei,” will, for the first time bring together South Sudan government officials, Jonglei state officials, donors, investors, US government officials and Jonglei community members in North America to explore ways to effectively develop and implement practical programs and projects to address the challenges, particularly security, social, economic and educational, that are facing the state and hindering peaceful coexistence between the various tribes.
Representatives from North American institutions of higher learning, profit and nonprofit corporations and organizations will also be in attendance in support of the JPINA effort to work with and through the Jonglei and South Sudan governments to address these challenges.

Expected keynote speakers and guest of honors will be members of delegations from Juba and Jonglei state. Other notable speakers in North America will also be on hand.
