Juba, October 2019 (SSNA) — South Sudan’s main opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar has returned to Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, after talks between him and his rival President Salva Kiir collapsed, a senior aide to the leadership of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-In Opposition (SPLM-IO) told the South Sudan News Agency (SSNA).
The official explained that the two leaders met today in Juba and tried to work out the pending issues, especially the security arrangements.
Kiir and Machar were briefed by their peace implementation team yesterday. The two teams disagreed over how the execution of the deal is being handled.
A senior official of the armed opposition accused the government of using the 2015-2016 tactics to impede the September 2018 revitalized agreement.

There is no will displayed by Kiir to do his part of implementing security arrangements. The best option is to put the UN in charge of South Sudan security administration. Then bringing South Sudanese in over a period of 10 years to run the country. The current mob are only capable of selfenrichment and landgrabbing whilst the majority suffer and die. The elephant in the room no one mentios is the secret terror organisation NSS, it prevents local solution from being developed, as has been the customs over hundreds of years to allow pastoralists and cattle people to co exist without major dramas.
More of the same which we have all so clearly seen since Dec 2013 is NOT the solution. Realizing the ineptitude of those in leadership is the first step to formulate a realistic plan to take South Sudan forward. UN should have the lead and Kiir forced to hand over power to the world body.
Let us unite in spirit as a nation.
where is our last love when we were in bush, north Sudan and during the refirandom of s. Sudan. Who stole our unity and love as people of South Sudan ? GOD forgive us
