Juba, June 10, 2019 (SSNA) — The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) said it has launched a clean-up campaign to clean Juba, refugee camps, and its mission areas.
The UN states that South Sudan needs “Umuganda,” a Rwanda’s voluntary exercise performed by Rwandans each month to clean up Rwandan cities.
UNMISS asserts that the campaign would “make mission camps and surroundings of Juba and IDP camps cleaner, greener, healthier and more environmentally efficient.”
The campaign was launched by the UN mission head David Shearer.
