SPLM, NCP to begin post-referendum negotiations next week

July 8, 2010 (Khartoum) — Sudan peace partners will begin post referendum negotiations next week. The two partners will reaffirm their commitment to the full implementation of the CPA.

“The negotiations aim at the enabling the two parties to the CPA informing and assuring the people of Sudan and the international community on their intention to begin the negotiations on arrangements of the post referendum stage in accordance with the rules of the South Sudan referendum’s act of year 2009”, Sudan state run news agency, SUNA, reports.

The meeting will take place next Saturday at the Friendship Hall, according to SUNA.
