Dear Family of Late Lt Gen. Paulino Matip Nhial,

September 3, 2012 (SSNA) — On behalf of the Nuer Community in the United States, the NCDS-USA Head Office is hereby extending its heartfelt condolence to the entire Nuer Community, immediate family members and lovely friends of our late leader, Lt. Gen. Paulino Matip Nhial. The community also extended its heartfelt condolence to entire South Sudanese communities that he was unconditionally saved from political fallout by signing Juba declaration of 2006. The time that unasked political populism and disagreements were expected, and highly seemed inevitable. The chances for unity among South Sudanese could have been at higher stakes. Due to his unyielding consideration and loves for his people, Lt Gen. Paulino Matip Nhial was unconditionally put behind the unforgettable sentiments of the aftermath of 1983 Bilpam’s politically motivated military attacked by SPLA Forces; an attack which led to his long held opposing views of SPLM/A under the leadership of Late Lt. Gen. Dr. John Garang De Mabior.

Most importantly, Lt Gen. Paulino Matip Nhial has longhand in the Nuer Community existing in the United States as his visit to the United States in 2009 was vehemently blessed and characterized with unbiased decision he took as a community elder and leader by inciting the opponent candidates for Nuer Community leadership in the United States to conduct a new election as both sides were claiming victory. His unbiased decision was unanimously taken into consideration by both sides of aisles, and then the new election was held. Today, the NCDS USA becomes one among the United States Nonprofit Organizations and responses to the world crises.

The NCDS USA leadership received the death of Lt Gen. Paulino Matip Nhial with tremendously saddened and heartfelt, and we are sincerely asking Nuer Community general membership in the United States to share this unasked moment of mourning with the family members of our late leader, Lt Gen. Paulino Matip Nhial. He was our greater leader who fearlessly said yes or no, should such circumstances constitute yes or no. Within the last eight years of South Sudan self-rule, the man became vigor monitor and role model for Nuer Society, and South Sudan as a nation. Our national leaders always ask for his undauntedly help when things don’t look rights for them, either politically or militarily.

In reiterating what majority of people have said concerned his untimely death, indeed Nuer Community has lost its mother elephant and unyielding icon. His lost has inflicted a great occurrence on us and he will be greatly missed by the whole Nuer Society and South Sudanese communities. May our Almighty God blesses his immediate family members and earns them speedy recovery from this tragic death of their father, grandfather, uncle, brother, nephew, cousin, husband and the likes; as well as resting his soul in an eternal peace in his everlasting paradise. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Cordially Yours,

Signed By: Chief Brown Both Bol Guandong
