South Sudan International Advocacy for Human Rights condemns the present of the Ugandans forces in the Republic of South Sudan

Press Release dated January 27, 2014

Your Excellences,

SSIAHR want to inform you that, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s current destructive involvement in the South Sudanese Internal Disorder discredits his supposed neutral position in the Negotiations Addis between the Kiir and Machar Delegations.

Your Excellences,

Ugandan President Museveni’s invasive actions in South Sudan, describe a man who has chosen to ignore his responsibility to remain neutral and he, therefore, discredits his own role in the Negotiations. Since Ugandan President Museveni has elected to ignore his responsibility to remain neutral, the South Sudan International Advocacy for Human Rights (SSIAHR) Is calling attention to President Museveni’s destructive interventions in South Sudan, and condemning his actions, without regard for neutrality.   It has been repeatedly, reported that Ugandan President Museveni serves to actively fuel the ongoing internal South Sudan crises, and there are repeated and serious allegations that President Museveni is wrongfully harboring Sudanese rebel factions.

Historically, President Museveni has failed to take responsibility for a neutral position, and has chosen, instead, to take his bloody hand and put it in many Eastern and Central African conflicts, over these past years, to include conflicts in the Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan, Somalia, Burundi and Central Africa Republic (CAR).

Your Excellences,

Most seriously, President Musevani’s entire credibility is, once again, under serious question, since he has taken an active side in the South Sudanese internal conflict by deploying Ugandan military on the South Sudan soil and confirmed air support to Kiir’s loyalists.

SSIAHR urges the International Community to address President Museveni’s destructive actions and seeks for President Museveni’s direct intervention in the South Sudanese internal conflict to be immediately sanctioned. SSIAHR is urging other IGAD countries and the International Community to immediately take action to remove President Yoweri Museveni from the ongoing negotiations in Addis between the Kiir and Machar delegations.
