Re: Fangak Community in UNMISS POCs (Juba) welcomes the arrival of SPLA-IO security forces in Juba

March 31, 2016 (SSNA) — Fangak Community in UNMISS POCs, Juba, welcomes the historic arrival of SPLA-IO to Juba. We would like to, first and foremost, congratulate the Chairman and Commander-In-Chief of SPLM/A-IO and First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, Dr. Riek Machar Teny; for having committed himself, and the Movement, fully to the implementation of the Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan through letter and spirit.

We know you carry the dreams and aspirations for a peaceful and more united South Sudan on your shoulders.

We would also like to commend the efforts exerted by the guarantors of the August peace deal by transporting the security forces to the would-be-capital of the TGONU. This is a critical step towards the successful implementation of the agreement aimed at ending the ongoing protracted conflict, which has claimed tens of thousands lives and displaced missions from their homes to refugee and UNMISS camps.

We urge the international community to continue supporting all the provisions of the peace agreement and stand by those principles stipulated in ARCISS. The international community and the region need to be tough on the recalcitrant party.

Finally, we salute the officers, NCOs and file of the SPLA-IO for their selfless sacrifices and invaluable contribution to the realization of peace in South Sudan. Your coming to Juba signifies security for the residents of Juba in particular, and South Sudan in general.

VIVA SPLA-IO!
VIVA Dr. Riek Machar Teny!

Signed by: Fangak Community in UNMISS POCs (Juba)
