South Sudan to conduct elections after 30 months of unity government

May 12, 2016Elections1 commentDuop
Juba, May 11, 2016 (SSNA) — The recently formed transitional government of national unity (TGoNU) is set to rule the violence-ravaged young nation for more than two years after two years of bloody civil war.

All parties of the transitional government are expected to participate in elections which will be held after 30 months.

Elections are set for 2018.

The current interim-government is a result of a compromised peace agreement brokered in August 2015 by the IGAD-Plus countries.
