World Health Organization supports response to the suspected food poisoning in Bor

Juba/Bor, February 19, 2018 (SSNA) — The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it support the health response carried out in Bor South County after the alleged food poisoning.

The announcement came just a day after suspected food poisoning was reported on February 18. Reports suggested that more than 400 people were admitted at Bor Hospital and other private health centers inn Bor.

The WHO stated in its press statement that it supported South Sudan’s Ministry of Health quick response and that appropriate treatments were given to those who were admitted.

The UN’s health agency disclosed that people who were admitted experienced vomiting, fever, diarrhea, headache, and weakness after they ate food at a building inaugural ceremony.
