FIFA slaps 10 years ban on former South Sudan football official

Juba, May 25, 2019 (SSNA) — The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has imposed ten years ban on South Sudanese football official Chabur Goc Alei, saying the former President of South Sudan Football Association misused $499,000 dollars intended for development and other football-related projects.

The world football governing body discloses that Chabur misused the fud from 2014 to 2015.

South Sudan Football Association has on numerous occasions been accused of using FIFA money for their personal gain.

There are also recent reports indicating that Football clubs in Yei River State have alleged that the football authority in the state misused football funds.

  • Corrupt officals shouldn’t only be bannd BUT legal procedings should be taken against & try in a court to recover the fund misused & discipline them to prevent others from involving in the act.
