Addis Ababa/Colorado Springs, May 5, 2016 (SSNA) — The South Sudan News Agency (SSNA) will resume its online publication by mid-May after weeks of comprehensive maintenance, the agency spokesman has announced.
On the 12th of April, the SSNA’s management team issued a statement, saying the site was under maintenance or update and that it will resume publication in a few days.
Duop Chak Wuol, the editor-in-chief of the US-based South Sudan News Agency has confirmed to the media that the management of the site has promised to finish its work within seven days.
Duop, who is also the Spokesperson for the SSNA, added that the management team of the SSNA has been in contact with nearly all of its reporters and contributors regarding the issue.
“I was notified yesterday that my team and I should prepare to resume publication by the 15th of May,” Duop wrote on his Facebook wall on Thursday.
The SSNA, which was founded in 2008 and launched in 2010, is one of the leading South Sudan’s online newspapers.
