For immediate release

Addis Ababa, December 15, 2014 (SSNA) — As we are going to commemorate the bloody Sunday which will fall on Monday 15th December 2014, the office of SSAAE is hereby condemning the Nuer massacre in Juba, Bentiu and Malakal, which left more than 20,000 innocent Nuer civilians dead in less than a week time (cool blood).

The Association wants the root cause of the conflict to be addressed thoroughly. We want all those who are responsible for Nuer Ethnic cleansing to be held accountable before the law. The association reiterated the chairman’s statements saying, "we’re south Sudanese artists’ but we cannot sit while our people (innocent Nuer) got killed in the senseless war.” It’s our responsibility to call on justice to prevail and whoever has a hand on the death of more than 20,000 Nuer civilians must face the law.

We call on international human right watch to quickly present their report to UN Security Council so that resolutions on atrocities committed are passed forthwith.

In conclusion, all the members of SSAAE are hereby passing their condolences to the families of the victims of 15th December crises.

It’s our wishes that peace will prevail once again in our beloved nation. We’ll yearly commemorate the death of our innocent people who were brutally killed on the pretext of the fake coup.

May God bless South Sudan and keep us united forever!

Long lives South Sudan!
Long lives unity of the people of South Sudan!
Long live SSAAE!

Signed:

1. Khor Deng Jang – Chairman
2. Lul Tuach Dojiok – Deputy Chairperson
