Meeting of Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism has been moved to next week

Juba, March 7, 2016 (SSNA) — The Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism (CTSAMM) meeting which was first scheduled take place tomorrow has been rescheduled for March 16, Spokesperson Ruth Feeney has said.

In a statement obtained by the South Sudan News Agency (SSNA), Feeney said the meeting has been rescheduled and that the venue of the event remains the same.

“Please note the Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism (CTSAMM) Meeting scheduled for the 8th March has been moved to 16th March,” Feeney said in the statement.

Feeney didn’t give any reason as to why the meeting was moved to next week.

CTSAMM’s Spokesman urges media to attend the event at Nile Fortune Hotel located in Tomping, saying the chairman of Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism will speak at 10:00am, South Sudan local time. Feeney also invited media to return to the event location at about 4:00pm for a brief statement from the CTSAMM’s Spokesperson.

The Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism (CTSAMM) is body tasked to monitor and verify any peace violation and report it to peace partners.
