March 31, 2018 (SSNA) — In reference to the link above, the SPLM (IO) Youth league learnt with dismay about the step taken by self-claimed Youth league fro- Taban Deng in a statement they released and made go public by Radio Tamazuj.

We were shocked to learn that they called for the extension of President Kiir, Taban and Wani terms while it’s the ACRISS they raped to collapsed that could give them chances to breath. They should be mindful that as the month August approaches; they will be branded by the whole world illegitimate.

However, this is serious a blow below the belt to democracy in South Sudan. South Sudan has a long history of untold suffering since the twenty-one years of civil war with the North Sudan and we are seeing, unfortunately, a political War mongers that are going against the tide of history and it marginalized population.

On behalf of the SPLM (IO) Youth League I declare the extension illegitimate and unconstitutional.

Its crystal that the government with it politicians wants to use the nation uncertainty as an excuse to keep them in power. We rejected and condemn it.

Moreover, it’s very symptomatic of the South Sudanese government to cling on the thrown to prolong the suffering of million South Sudanese who are now in Refugees camps and concentrated camps inside the Country. It’s Salva Kiir and his Jieng Council of Elders (JCE) that are pretending that they want to save the country but at the same time violating the ACRISS.

With million displaced, thousand killed and wars continued, government should instead pay much attention and exerted more effort to the HLRF which seem to be the only optional hope for the country to incarnate from the path of bloodshed and destructions.

We urge the so- called Taban loyalists to withdraw their call for extension of the Transitional Government of National Unity government (TGoNU) As soon as possible. It means no good to our people.
