Juba, April 3, 2018 (SSNA) — The leaders of the South Sudan Council of Churches (SSCC) said in a statement that they stand with the suffering people of South Sudan and that they refuse to yield to fear.
“The whole Church weeps with the suffering people, reflects on its journey towards peace and seeks for the Light of Resurrection for the people of South Sudan,” the message reads in part.
The SSCC said it is committed to “speak with one prophetic voice” and hope peace return to the war-torn young nation.
In the document, the SSCC’s leaders also admitted that the level of suffering in 2018 is harder than previous years, adding, “This man-made catastrophe needs an urgent solution, but first a self-realization on how human weaknesses and failures have led to this most terrible situation.”
South Sudanese church leaders have been instrumental in finding a peaceful solution to the ongoing civil war. However, government agents intimidated, arrested, tortured, or killed any church leader who is vocal about the ongoing armed conflict.

What I know for sure God hasn’t forgotten you. Yes, He is even closer than you would think. I am saying all these things because The Lord of Heaven has chosen me to be your reassurance Shepherd who will be able to feed you with God knowledge that he has given me for your sake. Yes, Seek The Lord with all your heart and that will shorten his intent against whole nation. His intention is serious but it may be that the punishment brought to an end. The Lord will do this until he brought the whole world attention to this piece of land. At that moment his judgement will be completed. Yes, I am with you through all this and you all will know me well when this crisis cease because the reason you do not know me well, is because everything is in chaos when they quite down your mind will become clear and see me with God’s purpose. Be assured that you are not alone and pray without ceasing that His will, will be done in your land as He intended.
