Juba, July 28, 2018 (SSNA) — The United Kingdom government has warned all its citizens living in South Sudan to leave and warns against traveling to the war-torn young nation, citing deteriorating situation.

On Thursday, the UK issued a statement, saying British citizens who live in South Sudan should leave the country.

“The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against all travel to South Sudan. If you are in South Sudan, you should leave if it’s safe to do so,” the text reads in part.

The foreign office explained in the statement that fighting across the country is ongoing and that reports of what it described as “serious criminality in Juba” is rampant.
