Juba, December 11, 2018 (SSNA) — South African Deputy President David Dabede Mabuza has called on the East African regional leaders to execute key provisions of the revitalized peace agreement, saying failure to implement key provisions of the pact would be an “indictment” of African leaders who commit themselves to a lasting peace in the war-wracked young nation.
In a statement, the South African Deputy President who also serves as a special envoy to peace in South Sudan says he wants Sudanese, Kenyan, and Ugandan leaders to commit to peace.
“My common message to all three Heads of State, who are signatories to the Peace Agreement, is that time is of the essence,” he said, according to African Daily Voice (ADV), adding, “Failure to implement the terms of the agreement will be a serious indictment on all of us as Africans who are committed to African solutions to African problem.”
Mabuza reminds the East African leaders that the Khartoum’s peace deal calls for the cessation of hostilities, democratic reforms, humanitarian assistance, demilitarization of tows, constitution amendment, security transformation, the inclusion of opposition politicians, among others.
He warns that a lasting peace can only be achieved if peace provisions are fully implemented.

Too much focus on implementation of revitalised agreement on the conflict of resolution in south sudan.The question is application of human,financial and assets . we should not talk of implementation without knowing our stands as the stakeholders to khartoum peace agreement.
