Addis Ababa, October 11, 2019 (SSNA) — Ethiopia’s Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed, has won the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize for his work on peace-building, the Nobel Committee has announced.
The Ethiopian leader said he is “thrilled and humbled” and hopes other African leaders take it positively.
Dr. Abiy was awarded the prize for ending a twenty-year conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea. Abiy was also praised by the Nobel Committee for carrying out reforms since taking the office in April last year.
The award is worth $900,000 dollars. He is expected to receive the prize in December this year.

Yes, truly he deserve such a honor by winning of 2019 Noble peace prize award winner. He surprisingly ended the long times enmity between the once sisterly Countries who were once the same in culture, language and politics. He also deserve such honor for bringing calm among already fragile peace among all nations in our country. May God bless H.E. Prime minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed.
