Addis Ababa, June 20, 2018 (SSNA) — South Sudanese rebel leader Dr. Riek Machar has arrived in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa for face-to-face meeting with Salva kiir.

The return of Machar, who has been in forced exile in South Africa since November 2016, happens after the Ethiopia’s prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed, invited him to participate in the peace revitalization negotiations.

Rebels say Dr. Machar was isolated from the East African region after Ugandan and South Sudanese government fabricated a story that if the rebel leader is confirmed then his troops will abandon him, and that peace will return to the young nation.

However, the civil war only gets worse after he was denied reentry into the east Africa region.

Dr. Machar arrived on Wednesday morning in Addis Ababa.
